I had the Tetons stuck in my mind.  I talked about going there constantly, but it is just far enough away that we kept pushing it off in favor of closer adventures.  

Finally we caved.  We had no family plans for the 4 days Thanksgiving weekend and decided it was the perfect time to make that 8 hour drive to Jackson, WY.

Some things you should know about Tetons NP during the winter:

It's completely closed.  The only Visitor center that is opened is actually located off of downtown Jackson (20-30 min from the park) and is a shared facility with the Forest and Gaming Services.

We were  not deterred by these closures and saw it as a chance for some solitude.  We snowshoed all of Colter bay and hiked to the top of Signal Mountain.  We saw exactly 0 other people.
