Monument Valley

One of the big stops on our Utah adventure to places we keep talking about but always seemed just a little too far away.  Even when we were living in Arizona it just kept getting passed up for things that were closer.  Well we finally made it even though we now live 2 states away.....

No trip to Monument Valley would be complete without a stop at "Forest Gump Point". (refresh your memory here)

This is one of the rare places that lives up to the countless pictures you've seen of it.  It is is in the Navajo Nation so there is a fee (I think $20 per car), but they do open the gates early enough for you to see the sunrise which was unexpected and well worth it.

Above:  Jenni got this shot of me out on John Ford's Point.  There were signs that you get your picture taken on a horse there, but we must have been up before the Navajo Cowboys.
