Cathedral Lake - Aspen
We decided to take in a weekend in Aspen on a whim. It's kind of odd that it is so close to Denver, but that we hardly ever talk about going there. The town itself isn't really our speed (we prefer Crested Butte which is just on the other side of the mountains) but the scenery and hikes around there are worth the drive. We were a bit early in the season and ran into some serious postholing near the lake, but this hike definitely earned us some post hike beers.
